The Colpoy's Bay WI is happy to host musical artist Kim Beggs on Saturday, April 11 at the Colpoy's Bay WI Community Hall. 

Doors open at 6:30, show begins at 7:00pm.

Kim Beggs’ honest, distinct and ethereal vocal approach - whispered remembrances, intimacies and strong empathy - is the conduit between introspective, poetic compositions and deliberately sparse arrangements, bringing to the mind the varied approaches of Neil Young and Nick Drake. Invoking her ability to weave informed observations into compelling songs replete with imagery and figurative allusions, Kim Biggs brings her perspectives to heartfelt vignettes with a liberating freedom of self-expression which married language to melody as few folk singers do, exploring traditional structures while establishing an amplifying her approach to modern, folk-based Americana. She embodies the personas of her characters - a trucker, Mother Earth, or a lover and strips the artifice, exposes life’s harsh backbone and , just before things get too bleak, she’ll “fill your little tin cup with some stuff”.

Nominated for thirteen music awards, Kim continues with her album, Beneath Your Skin, to explore her world and the people, emotions and events that inspire her.
